A love that knows no bounds.

But as Abbey finally learns the full truth about the dark fate that links her to Caspian and ties them both to the town of Sleepy Hollow, she suddenly has some very hard choices to make. Caspian may be the love of her life, but is that love worth dying for?

Beautifully spun, emotionally gripping, and irresistibly romantic, The Hidden will leave you breathless.

The summary of this book fits it perfectly. The last book in this series left the readers of this story very happy with the end of Caspian and Abbey's story. The story also didn't let us down with the mystery and romance in it. I don't think the end will dissapoint... all I think it will do is make you wish it wasn't over! Thank you Jessica Verday for suck a fantastic trilogy!

“Spectacular! The Hollow keeps you reading from beginning to end without coming up for air.” --L.J. Smith, bestselling author of The Vampire Diaries and Night World.

Thank you Jessica for not dissapointing us with your sequel! If anything, she might have actually made this sequel a little better! I loved the fact that Abbey was having a battle with her sanity throughout the book even though she can never ever forget Caspian, the boy who took her heart over summer and the boy who helped her through her loss of her best friend. I'm looking forward to reading the last book in this seires and I can't wait to see how Caspian and Abbey's story ends. Who doesn't love a ghost love story!

How could Kristen have kept silent about so much? And could this secret have led to her death? Don't you just love those stories that doesn't lose your attention at all? Well then, this book was perfect! The story was fantastic! The mystery was gripping! The romance was heart melting and the characters were perfectly written. Jessica Verday got my attention in this book and I'm hoping the rest of the trilogy will be the same! Caspian was full of mystery. Abbey was charming and the writing in this book made me feel like I was living in Abbey's world. I LOVED IT!!!

Theia Alderson has always led a sheltered life in the small California town of Serendipity Falls. But when a devastatingly handsome boy appears in the halls of her school, Theia knows she's seen Haden before- not around town, but in her dreams.

As the Haden of both the night and the day beckons her closer one moment and pushes her away the next, the only thing Theia knows for sure is that the incredible pull she feels towards him is stronger than her fear.

And when she discovers what Haden truly is, Theia's not sure if she wants to resist him, even if the cost is her soul.

This story was a lot better than I expected it to be. I loved the mystery of this story and I also liked the characters in this story a lot! And when Theia finds out that Haden is a demon and the only way they could be together is if she becomes one too, I loved it! I also liked the story behind Haden and how is mother is basically holding him captive in the Under. This story was wonderful and I can't wait for the next one!

This wasn't one of the best books I have read but I think it was good enough to have me looking forward to reading the second of this series. The characters were okay, the story was good. The thing that kept this story going in my opinion was the mystery and suspense. I hope the 2nd one will be a little better written!

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori.

Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move.

Even Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce – he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret...even if it kills her.

Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, FALLEN is a page-turning thriller and the ultimate love story.

The beginning of this story was very captivating. And then the story got a little boring for a while. When the story had my attention again though, I couldn't put it down! It had that small cheesy factor that I love, but it wasn't to cheesy that I couldn't stand it. I also loved the setting of this book. The characters weren't as wonderful as they could be but overall the story was good!

The year is 2032, sixteen years after a deadly virus—and the vaccine intended to protect against it—wiped out most of the earth’s population. The night before eighteen-year-old Eve’s graduation from her all-girls school she discovers what really happens to new graduates, and the horrifying fate that awaits her.

Fleeing the only home she’s ever known, Eve sets off on a long, treacherous journey, searching for a place she can survive. Along the way she encounters Caleb, a rough, rebellious boy living in the wild. Separated from men her whole life, Eve has been taught to fear them, but Caleb slowly wins her trust...and her heart. He promises to protect her, but when soldiers begin hunting them, Eve must choose between true love and her life.

This book wasn't so great. I liked the plot of the story that there is a secret about the girl graduates that no one would suspect. I didn't like how this book was written though. The characters weren't developed well and the story was also very boring in the middle. I liked the ending though and I'm hoping the second will be better than the first.

Spellbound (Hex Hall #3) by Rachel Hawkins

Spellbound by Rachel Hawkins
5 Stars!!

Hailed as “impossible to put down,” the Hex Hall series has both critics and teens cheering. With a winning combination of romance, action, magic and humor, this third volume will leave readers enchanted.

Just as Sophie Mercer has come to accept her extraordinary magical powers as a demon, the Prodigium Council strips them away. Now Sophie is defenseless, alone, and at the mercy of her sworn enemies—the Brannicks, a family of warrior women who hunt down the Prodigium. Or at least that’s what Sophie thinks, until she makes a surprising discovery. The Brannicks know an epic war is coming, and they believe Sophie is the only one powerful enough to stop the world from ending. But without her magic, Sophie isn’t as confident.

Sophie’s bound for one hell of a ride—can she get her powers back before it’s too late?

NOOOO!!! It can't be over! Spellbound was beautifully written and did not let this series down at all. It actually can be described tha this series went out with a bang. There was a huge twist at the end of this series and Sophie is on the hunt to get Archer and her dad back. Even though this was the last book in this series... Rachel made me actually scream at the book because it left a cliff hanger at the end!!! WHHHHYYYYYY!?!?!?

Demonglass (Hex Hall #2) by Rachel Hawkins

Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins
5 Stars!

Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch.

That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shapeshifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.

Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers.

But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends? They’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?

I have read so many sequels that did not hold my attention as much as the 1st one... but Demonglass was the complete opposite! The cover is fantastic. The epic suspense and the wittiness of Sophie Mercer lives on it the sequel of Hex Hall! Rachel Hawkins has done a fantastic job once again! I'm also very sad to say that there will only be one more in this series... keep writing Rachel!!!

Three years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible, consulting Sophie's estranged father--an elusive European warlock--only when necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches, faeries, and shapeshifters.
By the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tagalong ghost, and a new roommate who happens to be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only friend is the number-one suspect.
As a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigium, especially her.

Okay, I LOVED this book. Sophie ha a definite charm about her that connects you to this book quickly. She is very witty amd is absolutely adorable! And when she gets sent to Hex Hall because she is supposedly one of the most powerful witches she meets a witty and goth Vampire and a gorgeous boy named Archer... this school is looking up until she finds out secrets that changes her life...

Love can never die.

Love conquers all, so they say. But can Cupid’s arrow pierce the hearts of the living and the dead—or rather, the undead? Can a proper young Victorian lady find true love in the arms of a dashing zombie?

The year is 2195. The place is New Victoria—a high-tech nation modeled on the manners, mores, and fashions of an antique era. A teenager in high society, Nora Dearly is far more interested in military history and her country’s political unrest than in tea parties and debutante balls. But after her beloved parents die, Nora is left at the mercy of her domineering aunt, a social-climbing spendthrift who has squandered the family fortune and now plans to marry her niece off for money. For Nora, no fate could be more horrible—until she’s nearly kidnapped by an army of walking corpses.

But fate is just getting started with Nora. Catapulted from her world of drawing-room civility, she’s suddenly gunning down ravenous zombies alongside mysterious black-clad commandos and confronting “The Laz,” a fatal virus that raises the dead—and hell along with them. Hardly ideal circumstances. Then Nora meets Bram Griswold, a young soldier who is brave, handsome, noble . . . and dead. But as is the case with the rest of his special undead unit, luck and modern science have enabled Bram to hold on to his mind, his manners, and his body parts. And when his bond of trust with Nora turns to tenderness, there’s no turning back. Eventually, they know, the disease will win, separating the star-crossed lovers forever. But until then, beating or not, their hearts will have what they desire.

In Dearly, Departed, romance meets walking-dead thriller, spawning a madly imaginative novel of rip-roaring adventure, spine-tingling suspense, and macabre comedy that forever redefines the concept of undying love.

I haven't really read that many zombie stories and when I heard this one was about zombies, I was pretty excited! This isn't a stupid zombie story at all, this is an actually very well done story. I also love the fact that it takes place in the future. The mystery, comedy, action, adventure, and heart melting romance pulls together a great story that I loved! I can't wait to read the 2nd book in this series!

Around the world, black hand prints are appearing on doorways, scorched there by winged strangers who have crept through a slit in the sky.

In a dark and dusty shop, a devil's supply of human teeth grows dangerously low.

And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherwordly war.

Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real; she's prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands"; she speaks many languages—not all of them human; and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she's about to find out.

When one of the strangers—beautiful, haunted Akiva—fixes his fire-colored eyes on her in an alley in Marrakesh, the result is blood and starlight, secrets unveiled, and a star-crossed love whose roots drink deep of a violent past. But will Karou live to regret learning the truth about herself?

The story was very different from anything I have ever read. The story consits of mystery, adventure, romance, comedy, and page turning action. Even though there is plenty of questions that go through the readers head, 95% of your questions will be answered by the end of the book so keep reading even if you get confused! Overall, I'm looking forward to reading the 2nd in this series!

Underworld (Abandon #2) by Meg Cabot

Underworld by Meg Cabot
4 Stars

Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back.

Seventeen-year-old Pierce Oliviera isn’t dead.

Not this time.

But she is being held against her will in the dim, twilit world between heaven and hell, where the spirits of the deceased wait before embarking upon their final journey.

Her captor, John Hayden, claims it’s for her own safety. Because not all the departed are dear. Some are so unhappy with where they ended up after leaving the Underworld, they’ve come back as Furies, intent on vengeance…on the one who sent them there and on the one whom he loves.

But while Pierce might be safe from the Furies in the Underworld, far worse dangers could be lurking for her there…and they might have more to do with its ruler than with his enemies.

And unless Pierce is careful, this time there’ll be no escape.

The sequel to the Abandon Trilogy is a lot better than the first. It also helped that there wasn't that many flashbacks as there was in the first. Pierce also starts to fall for John which also makes the story a little bit more captivating. The story was great, so was the romance, and the thrill of it. I personally am starting to like this series a lot and I'm very excited for the 3rd and final one to come out!

In the end, all that’s left is an echo.

Violet kept her morbid ability to sense dead bodies a secret from everyone except her family and her childhood-best-friend-turned-boyfriend, Jay Heaton. That is until forensic psychologist Sara Priest discovered Violet’s talent and invited her to use her gift to track down murderers. Now, as she works with an eclectic group of individuals—including mysterious and dangerously attractive Rafe—it’s Violet’s job to help those who have been murdered by bringing their killers to justice.

When Violet discovers the body of a college girl killed by “the girlfriend collector” she is determined to solve the case. But now the serial killer is on the lookout for a new “relationship” and Violet may have caught his eye....

From the title you would think that this is the last in this amazing series... but it's not! There is one more!! The next one is called Dead Silence and it will be coming out April 16th 2013. The 3rd one in this series was the best of them all. Even though Violet is with Jay, she can't stop but feel a small attraction to her partner in the FBI unit she working in, Rafe. They are all also on the hum for a man who murders women, and the man has his eyes on Violet and the ending is something you would never expect. I can't wait for the 4th!

Violet can sense the echoes of those who've been murdered—and the matching imprint that clings to their killers. Only those closest to her know what she is capable of, but when she discovers the body of a young boy she also draws the attention of the FBI, threatening her entire way of life.

As Violet works to keep her morbid ability a secret, she unwittingly becomes the object of a dangerous obsession. Normally she'd turn to her best friend, Jay, except now that they are officially a couple, the rules of their relationship seem to have changed. And with Jay spending more and more time with his new friend Mike, Violet is left with too much time on her hands as she wonders where things went wrong. But when she fills the void by digging into Mike's tragic family history, she stumbles upon a dark truth that could put everyone in danger.

This series is so different, I love it! The sequel to The Body Finder did not dissapoint at all. Violet has now grown a secret enemy who might possibly be crushing on Jay. Violet also has a secret FBI group on her heels trying to figure out how she found that little boy in the shipyard. Later she finds out that the person stalking her and sending death threats isn't the true enemy at all. A great mystery, thriller and romance has set us up perfectly for the 3rd book!

You would think after helping save her boyfriend from an eternity in Hell that things would go back to normal. Well, as normal as life can be when you can see souls and your boyfriend is Death. But for Pagan Moore, things are just getting weirder.

The high school quarterback and reigning heartthrob, Leif Montgomery, is missing. While the town is in a frenzy of worry, Pagan is a nervous wreck for other reasons. Apparently good ‘ol Leif isn’t your average teenage boy. He isn’t even human. According to Death, Leif doesn’t have a soul. The quarterback may have skipped town but he’s still showing up in Pagan’s dreams... uninvited.

Dank has known from the beginning Leif wasn’t human. But he hadn’t worried about a simple soulless creature. Now, he realizes he made a grave mistake. Pagan’s soul has been marked since birth as a restitution, to a spirit so dark not even Death walks near it. Dank knows saving Pagan’s soul won’t be easy but Pagan is his. And he’s already proven he’ll defy Heaven to keep her. If Hell wants a piece of him too, then bring it on.

It wasn't as great at the first but it was still pretty amazing! Abbi Glines weaved together another fantastic tale of Death (Dank) and Pagan. When Leif suddenly came back after his dissapearence, he comes back saying he is the Voodoo Prince and him and Pagan are supposed to be together. Pagan is also struck by dreams that are actually memories of Leif when he saved her multiple times. Pagan and Dank also grow closer although so many forces are trying to drive them apart.

Go to school, hang out with her best friend, Vee, and dodge mom's creepy new boyfriend.

But there is this voice in the back of her head, an idea that she can almost reach out and touch. Visions of angel wings and unearthly creatures that have nothing to do with the life she knows.

And this unshakable feeling that a part of her is missing.

Then Nora crosses paths with a sexy stranger, whom she feels a mesmerizing connection to. He seems to hold all the answers...and her heart. Every minute she spends with him grows more and more intense until she realizes she could be falling in love. Again.

This series is truly probably one of the best I have ever read.  Becca Fitzpatrick puts a stunning spin to Patch and Nora's story when Nora forgets everything... including Patch.  Nora feels like she is connected to Patch when she meets him again but she doesn't know why.  Nora is on a quest for her memories and when she gets them back all her worst nightmares come true when the Nephilim and the Fallen have to go to war...  A stunning ending that leaves you hanging and crying for the 4th!

Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn't easy.
Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place and out of place at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.
As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?
Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.

From the first book of this series by Cynthia Hand, it looks like a promising series!! The first book consisted of some form of charm form each character and there was also a great amount of humor, romance, and mystery to pull this book off. I'm also one of those girls that loves "love triangles" and there is a big one in this book! I personally loved it and am looking forward to see how this series unfolds!

For months Clara Gardner trained to face the fire from her visions, but she wasn't prepared for the choice she had to make that day. And in the aftermath, she discovered that nothing about being part angel is as straightforward as she thought.

Now, torn between her love for Tucker and her complicated feelings about the roles she and Christian seem destined to play in a world that is both dangerous and beautiful, Clara struggles with a shocking revelation: Someone she loves will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.

In this compelling sequel to "Unearthly," Cynthia Hand captures the joy of first love, the anguish of loss, and the confusion of becoming who you are.

The sequel wansn't as great at the first of this series, Unearthly. It took me a while to get into the story and the characters again but when I finally got into it half way through, I couldn't put it down! The characters had their charm back; the page turning action, mystery, and suspense also came back with the characters. Overall, this series hasn't let me down yet and I'm looking forward to the 3rd, Boundless.

What happens when you're stalked by Death? You fall in love with him, of course.

Pagan Moore doesn't cheat Death, but instead, falls in love with him.

Seventeen year old Pagan Moore has seen souls her entire life. Once she realized the strangers she often saw walking through walls were not visible to anyone else, she started ignoring them. If she didn't let them know she could see them, then they left her alone. Until she stepped out of her car the first day of school and saw an incredibly sexy guy lounging on a picnic table, watching her with an amused smirk on his face. Problem is, she knows he's dead.

Not only does he not go away when she ignores him, but he does something none of the others have ever done. He speaks. Pagan is fascinated by the soul. What she doesn't realize is that her appointed time to die is drawing near and the wickedly beautiful soul she is falling in love with is not a soul at all.

He is Death and he's about to break all the rules.

Okay, lets start naming what makes this story PERRRFECT. 1) Who doesn't love the thought of Death himself falling in love!?!? 2) Death just happens to be a complete sexy beast who also sings in plays guitar... oh yeah, Death = perfection. 3) The story had a little bit of that cute cheesy factor that you have to love but pulls off a fantastic story! There is comedy, action, and head over heels romance. Overall: A+ + + + +

New from #1 New York Times bestselling author Meg Cabot, a dark, fantastical story about this world . . . and the underworld.

Though she tries returning to the life she knew before the accident, Pierce can't help but feel at once a part of this world, and apart from it. Yet she's never alone . . . because someone is always watching her. Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back.

But now she's moved to a new town. Maybe at her new school, she can start fresh. Maybe she can stop feeling so afraid.

Only she can't. Because even here, he finds her. That's how desperately he wants her back. She knows he's no guardian angel, and his dark world isn't exactly heaven, yet she can't stay away . . . especially since he always appears when she least expects it, but exactly when she needs him most.

But if she lets herself fall any further, she may just find herself back in the one place she most fears: the Underworld.

Well, this story started out great! Then it got a little confusing in the middle and a little boring with how it went back to flashbacks throughout the whole book. Although it was a great twist to the Hades and Persephone story with John and Pierce. The story starts with when she died drowning and went to the Underworld. She was so confused and ran away and got hit by a horse and the rider was John. She recognized John from a funeral she went to when she was little and told him that it was her. John was shocked that Pierce was her and took her to his castle and we found out that John is ruler of the Underworld and he wants to make Pierce his Queen. Pierce freaks out and finds a way to escape the Underworld and takes it. John then followed Pierce and protected her and begged her to come back because the Furies were angry. Pierce starts to fall for John and in the end, her grandma was a Fury and attacked her at her school. John came to her rescue and after defeating her grandmother, took her back to the Underworld to keep her safe. The end set up a great cliffhanger for the sequel, overall the book was good and it is worth a try. I reccomand that you give it a try!

A love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder.

Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.

Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone-one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship-tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.

Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

This story is so different from any other I have read and I loved it! The beginning started out a little slow but it picked up speed really quickly and turned out to be a huge page turner. This story is about a girl named Amy who has boarded a spaceship called Godspeed on a 300 year long journey to a different home. Amy has been put in a storage type of place that freezes people for 300 years. Elder is a teenage guy who will be the next captain of the ship and him and Amy meet by a freak event. Someone has thawed Amy to drown her but luckily Elder was there to help her so she wouldn't die. They both soon find out that someone on the ship is trying to murder these people and it's up to Amy and Elder to find out who the murderer is so they will stop before they reach her parents who are also frozen. Love, mystery, and page turning drama makes this book an amazing story that no one can put down.

First there are nightmares.
Every night Ellie is haunted by terrifying dreams of monstrous creatures that are hunting her, killing her.

Then come the memories.
When Ellie meets Will, she feels on the verge of remembering something just beyond her grasp. His attention is intense and romantic, and Ellie feels like her soul has known him for centuries. On her seventeenth birthday, on a dark street at midnight, Will awakens Ellie's power, and she knows that she can fight the creatures that stalk her in the grim darkness. Only Will holds the key to Ellie's memories, whole lifetimes of them, and when she looks at him, she can no longer pretend anything was just a dream.

Now she must hunt.
Ellie has power that no one can match, and her role is to hunt and kill the reapers that prey on human souls. But in order to survive the dangerous and ancient battle of the angels and the Fallen, she must also hunt for the secrets of her past lives and truths that may be too frightening to remember.

Angelfire is a different story of a girl like Buffy who slays reapers. Ellie is a teenage girl who thinks she is completely normal, and then she meets Will. Will claims to be her guardian and all of that is proved when a reaper attacks them and she has to fight it. The story is an adventure of a girl who has a power like no other and can only fight if she wakes her memory of her past lives and that all is up to Will. A great story of a love that isn't meant to happen, intense action, and comedy make Angelfire, a book that I refused to put down.

On the night of Skye's seventeenth birthday, she meets two enigmatic strangers. Complete opposites--like fire and ice–-Asher is dark and wild, while Devin is fair and aloof. Their sudden appearance sends Skye's life into a tailspin. She has no idea what they want, or why they seem to follow her every move--only that their presence coincides with a flurry of strange events. Soon she begins to doubt not just the identity of the two boys, but also the truth about her own past.

In the dead of a bitingly cold Colorado winter, Skye finds herself coming to terms with the impossible secret that threatens to shatter her world. Torn between Asher - whom she can't help falling for, and Devin - whom she can't stay away from, the consequences of Skye's choice will reach further than the three of them could ever imagine.

"A Beautiful Dark" is the first book in a captivating trilogy by debut author Jocelyn Davies.

Another great paranormal love triangle between Skye, Devin, and Asher. Asher is the darker, mischevious one and Devin is the wise, brighter one... and they are brothers and both care for Skye, and Skye has equal attraction to both of them. Although it got a little boring in the middle, the ending will leave you hanging and demand for the sequel! Beautifully written and has the perfect setting in the mountains of Colorado. Definitely reccomanded!

It starts off simply.

Draw a circle... place a dead leaf in the center... sprinkle some salt... recite a little Latin... add a drop of blood...

Maybe that last part isn’t exactly simple. Yet somehow it feels right to Silla Kennicott. And nothing in her life has felt remotely right since her parents’ horrific deaths. She’s willing to do anything to uncover the truth about her family—even try a few spells from the mysterious book that arrived on her doorstep ... and spill some blood.

The book isn’t the only recent arrival in Silla’s life. There’s Nick Pardee, the new guy next door who may have seen Silla casting a spell. She’s not sure what he saw and is afraid to find out. But as they spend more time together, Silla realizes this may not be Nick’s first encounter with Blood Magic. Brought together by a combination of fate and chemistry, Silla and Nick can’t deny their attraction. And they can’t ignore the dark presence lurking nearby—waiting to reclaim the book and all its power.

This wasn't my favorite of the books I have read but it was okay. A bit boring, confusing, and overwhelming for a good part of the book but the ending was very exciting! I am looking forward to the sequel and maybe the series will be even better. I would give it a try!

Violet Ambrose is grappling with two major issues: Jay Heaton and her morbid secret ability. While the sixteen-year-old is confused by her new feelings for her best friend since childhood, she is more disturbed by her "power" to sense dead bodies—or at least those that have been murdered. Since she was a little girl, she has felt the echoes that the dead leave behind in the world... and the imprints that attach to their killers.

Violet has never considered her strange talent to be a gift; it mostly just led her to find the dead birds her cat had tired of playing with. But now that a serial killer has begun terrorizing her small town, and the echoes of the local girls he's claimed haunt her daily, she realizes she might be the only person who can stop him.

Despite his fierce protectiveness over her, Jay reluctantly agrees to help Violet on her quest to find the murderer—and Violet is unnerved to find herself hoping that Jay's intentions are much more than friendly. But even as she's falling intensely in love, Violet is getting closer and closer to discovering a killer... and becoming his prey herself.

The Body Finder was a very entertaining read that I couldnt put down! There is action, mystery, romance, and unfrogettable action that leaves you on edge the entire book! Violet has had this weird sense ever since she was little... she could sense murdered bodies and she calls the thing she senses "echoes." Jay has been her best friend for a long time and he is the only one that knows, besides her family, about her sense. Now there attraction has blossomed into a romance as they try to figure out who the murderer is of bodies that have just started to show up. A must read!

Can he make her fall in love with him… again?

When Pagan Moore proved worthy of Death’s devotion, he was given the gift of getting to keep her.

But Dank was never promised that Pagan would keep him.

When a soul is created, so is its mate. In every lifetime those souls find each other. They complete the other’s destiny. It’s time for Pagan’s soul to choose if she truly wants an eternity at Death’s side or if she wants the mate created just for her.

Dank didn’t think he had to worry about her choice. He knew where her heart belonged. Until he realized that every kiss, every touch, every moment of their time together would be washed from her memories. He would have to win her heart all over again and prove to her soul that he was where she belonged.

If only her soul’s mate wasn’t right there standing in his way.

I loved this series and I am so sad that this was the last book! I am very happy to say that this was by far, the best in the whole series. Dank (Death) has to get Pagan back before her and her soulmate reconnect and he has many obstacles to face... one of them being Pagan doesn't even know who he is because her memories of him were taken away. Pagan is now in college and Gee is her next-dorm neighbor. Dank is also having the issue that Pagan and her soulmate are starting to connect and he can't do anything about it. He enrolls in her college to get her attention more and it starts to work and Pagan starts to have feelings for him until Leif plays a trick on her and her attraction to Dank goes down a hole and his only chance to get her is if he restores her memory and goes against the rules the Diety has set up.
Gee gives Pagan the heart shaped pendant and restores all her memories and now Pagan has all her memories back and now she chose Dank. She breaks off all connection with her soulmate and has chosen Dank completely. The Diety knows that she chose Dank but also knows that he broke the rules. The only way for them to be together is that Pagan becomes immortal and they can be together. She dies and comes back and Dank and Pagan end up together in the end. This was a heart wrenching, page turning, jaw dropping story that will leave you wanting even more... even though it was the end of the series!!! :(

Life as the Preliator is harder than Ellie ever imagined.
Balancing real life with the responsibility of being Heaven’s warrior is a challenge for Ellie. Her relationship with Will has become all business, though they both long for each other. And now that the secret of who she really is has come out, so have Hell’s strongest reapers. Grown bold and more vicious, the demonic threaten her in the light of day and stalk her in the night.

She’s been warned.
Cadan, a demonic reaper, comes to her with information about Bastian’s new plan to destroy Ellie’s soul and use an ancient relic to wake all the souls of the damned and unleash them upon humanity. As she fights to stay ahead of Bastian’s schemes , the revelations about those closest to her awaken a dark power within Ellie that threatens to destroy everything—including herself.

She’ll be betrayed.
Treachery comes even from those whom she loves, and Ellie is broken by the deaths of those who stood beside her in this Heavenly war. Still, she must find a way to save the world, herself, and her love for Will. If she fails, there will be hell to pay.

The sequel of Angelfire was spectacular! Ellie's story captured me right at the beginning and Moulton got me rooting for Ellie and Will to get back together even though her long lost brother doesn't allow it. I couldn't believe how this story topped the first book in this series and I'm so excited to see how the 3rd one turns out with the HUGE cliffhanger it left us readers on. Even though Ellie and Will are an obvious match and need to be a couple, part of me also wanted Caden, the cocky demonic reaper who longs for redemption and Ellie, to actually get his wish. A big love triangle has unfolded itself along with tears and laughter. I couldn't put this book down and if you loved Angelfire... you will love this one even more!

Rule #3: Don't stare at invisible faeries.
Aislinn has always seen faeries. Powerful and dangerous, they walk hidden in the mortal world. Aislinn fears their cruelty - especially if they learn of her Sight - and wishes she were as blind to their presence as other teens.

Rule #2: Don't speak to invisible faeries.
Now faeries are stalking her. One of them, Keenan, who is equal parts terrifying and alluring, is trying to talk to her, asking questions Aislinn is afraid to answer.

Rule #1: Don't ever attract their attention.
But it's too late. Keenan is the Summer King, who has sought his queen for nine centuries. Without her, summer itself will perish. He is determined that Aislinn will become the Summer Queen at any cost — regardless of her plans or desires.

Suddenly none of the rules that have kept Aislinn safe are working anymore, and everything is on the line: her freedom; her best friend, Seth; her life; everything.

Faery intrigue, mortal love, and the clash of ancient rules and modern expectations swirl together in Melissa Marr's stunning twenty-first-century faery tale.

I know it is cruel to give only 1 1/2 stars but this book was terrible. It was poorly written and had know plot to it. Basically all the story is about is Aislinns is being stalked by a faerie king named Keenan who wants to make her his Queen when she really doesn't want to because she is in love with her best friend named Seth. Keenan threatens Seth's life if she doesn't come with him so she decided to become his Queen even though there will be nothing between them. She had to pass a dangerous test that no one has survived to be his Queen and of course, she passes. Keenan is in love with a Winter Faeire and they are in a relationship and Seth and Aislinn are in a relationship. The end! Really boring, poorly written, and a very chessy plot, even if there is a plot that is. Not reccomanded.

Kate and Vincent have overcome the odds and at last they are together in Paris, the city of lights and love.

As their romance deepens there’s one question they can’t ignore: How are they supposed to be together if Vincent can’t resist sacrificing himself to save others? Although Vincent promises that he’ll do whatever it takes to lead a normal life with Kate, will that mean letting innocent people die? When a new and surprising enemy reveals itself, Kate realizes that even more may be at stake—and that Vincent’s immortality is in jeopardy.

In Die for Me, Amy Plum created a captivating paranormal mythology with immortal revenants and a lush Paris setting. Until I Die is poised to thrill readers with more heart-pounding suspense, spellbinding romance, and a cliff-hanger ending that will leave them desperate for the third and final novel in the series.

This series has been proven to be amazing so far! Kate and Vincent's love is growing and she is now training and becoming stronger so she can fight with the Revenants in the future. Another threat has shown itself and the culprit is extremely unexpected. I will not spoil any of the secrets in this book but I will tell you this.... I BAWLED like a baby for about a week everytime I thought about the ending in this book! My heart shattered into tiny little pieces and I cannot WAIT for the next book! I liked Die for Me a lot... but Until I Die was by far one of the best books I have read. READ IT! NOW!

Yeah... it was really that bad. This one at least had a plot but it was so SLOW and BORING and the main character was so whiny and so was her only friend and I hated it. I did not connect with this story and I finally just put it down and didn't even finish it I hated it so much... I don't do that very often either. I read more then half of the book and nothing was happening so I gave up. Maybe you all will like it more than me and please tell me if i'm completely wrong and I should keep reading but from the 60% of what I read... UGH. I wouldn't reccomand it.

Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar.

Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.

If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

Crescendo wasn't as good as Hush, Hush but it was still pretty good! Now that Patch and Nora, Nora has become more aware of how distant Patch has gotten and she has spotted him at her enemies house, Marcie's, she has stopped their relationship and is trying to shut Patch out of her life completely. Now she has taken interest in her fathers death and is starting to think that her Nephilim blood has something to do with it. Patch is also starting to wedge his presence back into her life and is trying to explain why he has been so distant. Now knowing what is going on with him, she has let him back in and now the both of them are going to war with someone that she never would have thought she would have to fight. Definitely reccomanded!

A SACRED OATH
A FALLEN ANGEL
A FORBIDDEN LOVE

Romance was not part of Nora Grey's plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life
.

This book really got me hooked on to something! Nora is a normal girl and Patch... well he isn't so normal. Patch is a fallen angel. Nora and Patch meet when they become lab partners in Science and their instant attraction is explosive... even though Nora despises Patch. They get pushed together though in a motel room when she finds out what he really is. They grow even closer when they have to battle a Nephilim and their relationship blooms into something more... and in the end we find out Nora isn't so normal... but she is a Nephilim. Patch saves Nora's life and he gets redeemed and in the end, he becomes her guardian angel. I couldn't put this book down! It was spectacular and it helps that Patch is well... HOT. ;) haha. I reccomand that you read it!

On the morning of her sixteenth birthday, Renée Winters was still an ordinary girl. She spent her summers at the beach, had the perfect best friend, and had just started dating the cutest guy at school. No one she'd ever known had died. But all that changes when she finds her parents dead in the Redwood Forest, in what appears to be a strange double murder.

After the funeral Renée’s wealthy grandfather sends her to Gottfried Academy, a remote and mysterious boarding school in Maine, where she finds herself studying subjects like Philosophy, Latin, and the “Crude Sciences.”

It’s there that she meets Dante Berlin, a handsome and elusive boy to whom she feels inexplicably drawn. As they grow closer, unexplainable things begin to happen, but Renée can’t stop herself from falling in love. It’s only when she discovers a dark tragedy in Gottfried’s past that she begins to wonder if the Academy is everything it seems.

Little does she know, Dante is the one hiding a dangerous secret, one that has him fearing for her life.

Dead Beautiful is both a compelling romance and thought-provoking read, bringing shocking new meaning to life, death, love, and the nature of the soul.

Renee was very unlucky on her 16th birthday and on her way home from the beach, she found her parents dead. Their deaths were very strange when she saw the gauze was shoved in their mouths and strange coins were scattered around their bodies, and even though the doctors claim they both had heart attacks and it was a hiking incident... she is certain that the were both murdered. Here grandfather shows up when she hasn't seen him in a long time and takes her away to Maine and enrolls her in a mysterious private school called Gottfried Academy. She becomes friends with her roomate quickly and a boy she met at an assembly... and she also meets a mysterious and gorgeous boy named Dante Berlin. Dante and Renee grow instant attraction to each other but the strange thing is, every time they have a moment and he comes close to kissing her... he doesn't. He can't. Strange murders that are similar to her parents, mystery, action, and romance fill this book and create an exciting new adventure that I adored. I would say that you should give this book a try!

Fans of Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver and Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush will relish this intense paranormal love story featuring Romeo and Juliet, literary history's most tragic couple, who meet again, not as true lovers, but truly as enemies.
The most tragic love story in history . . .

Juliet Capulet didn't take her own life. She was murdered by the person she trusted most, her new husband, Romeo Montague, a sacrifice made to ensure his own immortality. But what Romeo didn't anticipate was that Juliet would be granted eternity, as well, and would become an agent for the Ambassadors of Light. For 700 years, she's fought Romeo for the souls of true lovers, struggling to preserve romantic love and the lives of the innocent. Until the day she meets someone she's forbidden to love, and Romeo, oh Romeo, will do everything in his power to destroy that love.

"These violent delights have violent ends
And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which as they kiss consume."
—Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

We all know of the story about the strarcrossed lovers Romeo and Juliet who died long ago... well what if they aren't dead? Both Romeo and Juliet are immortals and Juliet fights for love while Romeo fights to destroy it... which makes them sworn enemies. Juliet becomes a girl named Ariel and Romeo becomes Derek, Ariels date to a party that Ariel hates... and when Juliet and Romeo enter their bodies... they are in the same car. Ariel (Juliet) fights off Derek (Romeo) and waves down a car who happens to be a teenage guy named Ben that "Ariel" feels a huge connection to. Ariel soon finds out that Ben and Ariels best friend are the soulmates she has to try to bring together and "Ariel" soon finds herself getting jealous because she wants to be with Ben. Romeo is also trying to get Juliet to fall in love with him again so that they can break away from their immortality and become mortal and be together. This story could be very confusing if you don't pay attention to what is going on but if you are up to the challenge, I would say it's a good read that is worth a try.

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is.

Obsidian is the first in this new series by Jennifer Armentrout. Katie is the narrator of this story and she moved to West Virginia with her mom after her father died. Katie's only passion was book blogging and nothing was going well and she wasn't happy that her mom made her go meet her neighbors that are her age.
Katie went over to her neighbors to introduce herself and ask where the grocery store was and she was pleasently surprised to find an amazingly gorgeous guy opening the door. Of course like any teenage girl, her spirits went up... and then her spirits quickly plumitted when she found out he was a total ass. After her encounter with the ass, Daemon, she met his sweet and bubbly sister Dee and she quickly became her only friend.
Katie's Senior year started and it seemed to be going well... until Daemon saved her from getting run over by a truck and it turned out that he wasn't around here... yes, he is an alien. Now Katie's only hope of surviving is by sticking by his side and they both face many enemies. Even though Daemon is a complete ass and Katie can't stand him, their attraction is undeniable and their connection grows even stronger at the end of the book... because they are literally connected.
Katie, Daemon, Dee, and the other aliens have to fight a powerful enemy, the Arum, and when all hope is lost, Katie taps into Daemon's and Dee's powers and kills off the Arum and nearly kills herself in the process. Daemon takes matters into his own hand and heals her with his powers and when he healed her, he connected them the each other.
Thiss book got me hooked to this whole series and I am so excited to read Onyx, the sequel! I would definitely reccomand this book to all the YA paranormal romance fans out there.

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

Well, we all remember the steamy attraction between Kat and Daemon from the first book, don't we? Yeah, it's a little hard to forget! And now their attraction is actually connected to something... well Kat thinks their attraction is because of the connection even though Daemon insists that it isn't because of that and he really cares for her. Aww, so cute!!!
Well after their large battle in the field against the Arum the DOD are now on their heels and they all have to work hard to hide their powers. And along with the DOD, a new boy named Brad comes to town and tells Kat he can help her with her new power. He trains her and we find out that because of her being healed by Daemon, she is now a mutated human... basically she is part alien now. Woah, big twist right!?!?
Yeah well there is a bigger twist... Dawson's supposedly dead girlfriend, Bethany, isn't so dead. She is the complete opposite... she is alive and is with the DOD.
Like we suspected, Daemon and Kat's relationship blooms by the end of the book when a huge betrayal occurs and they all have to come together.
Betrayal from the least suspected people, love blooms, intense action, and definite tears wrap up a stunning addition to the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It seems like the 3rd of the series, Opal, is WAY to far away!
