Iron Daughter ( Iron Fey #2) by Julie Kagawa

Iron Daughter ( Iron Fey #2) by Julie Kagawa
4 1/2 Stars

Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.
Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

I love this series!!! Julie Kagawa, you have succesfully created a very charming story about very beautiful characters. The Iron Daughter is the 2nd of this series and it was a wonderful sequel to the first, it wasn't as good as the first but was still outstanding. Meghan returns with her very charming and sarcastic personality. Puck returns with his... well, Puck personality. And Ash returns as the mysterious and breathtakingly gorgeous Winter prince... he just doesn't show his cold heart as much as he does in the beginning of the first book. Each character surprises you with their charisma and strength just as they do in the first and all I have to say to sum up this book is... I LOVED IT!

Iron Knight (Iron Fey #1) by Julie Kagawa

Iron Knight (Iron Fey #1) by Julie Kagawa
5 Stars!

Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.

Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

What a BEAUTIFUL start to this series! I LOVED IT!!! Meghan Chase is such a charming character that a reader could easily relate to. Puck, her best friend who is secretly in love with her, is also another charming character ( I think basically everyone has a friend that has his personality). And Ash... DAMN he is gorgeous. I wish we all knew somebody like him but of course, like all books, they make my expectations for men way to high. I loved this book and would give it and infinite amount of stars if I could.

Can there truly be love after death?

Drifting in the dark waters of a mysterious river, the only thing Amelia knows for sure is that she's dead. With no recollection of her past life--or her actual death--she's trapped alone in a nightmarish existence. All of this changes when she tries to rescue a boy, Joshua, from drowning in her river. As a ghost, she can do nothing but will him to live. Yet in an unforgettable moment of connection, she helps him survive.

Amelia and Joshua grow ever closer as they begin to uncover the strange circumstances of her death and the secrets of the dark river that held her captive for so long. But even while they struggle to keep their bond hidden from the living world, a frightening spirit named Eli is doing everything in his power to destroy their newfound happiness and drag Amelia back into the ghost world . . . forever.

Thrilling and evocative, with moments of pure pleasure, Hereafter is a sensation you won't want to miss.

This book wasn't my favorite out of all the one's I read. It started off fine and hooked me into it but then it got really slow and I never really had the urge to pick it up because I HAD to see what happened next. I never really connected with any of the characters like I do in so many other well written books.  The ending was pretty good though and I'm looking forward to reading the next one... I'm just hoping that it won't be as boring as the first one. I would say that it is worth a try though.

Intuition (Premonition #2) by Amy A. Bartol

Intuition (Premonition #2) by Amy A. Bartol
5 Stars!!

I don’t open my eyes so I can’t see him, but I can smell him. He thickens the air I breathe, choking me with his scent…his aroma. I shiver. I have to resist. If I’m not strong, then I will be relegated to the same fate as this predator whose sickness infects me even now. But now, I crave him and he knows that; he has been counting on my need to end the gnawing pain. How he would savor my surrender. I’m alive, but how much longer will it take until I beg him not to be?

A great additon to this series by the very talented writer, Amy A. Bartol. All of the characters, Evie, Reed, Russell, Buns, Brownie, and Zee are even more charming in this book than the first one which was very hard to pull off but I was even more hooked to all of them! Even the freaking enemies were charming in their own way. Once again, this series is totally movie worthy. I love this series and I'm looking forward to the others!

Inescapable (Premonition #1) by Amy A. Bartol

Inescapable (Premonition #1) by Amy A. Bartol
5 Stars!!

My name is Evie Claremont and this was to be the making of me--my freshman year of college. I had been hoping that once I had arrived on Crestwood's campus, the nightmare that I've been having would go away. It hasn't.

I may be an inexperienced seventeen-year-old, but I'm grounded...sane. Since meeting sophomore Reed Wellington, however, nothing makes any sense. Whenever he is near, I feel an attraction to him--a magnetic kind of force pulling me towards him. I know what you're thinking...that sounds fairly awesome. Yeah, it would--if he liked me, but Reed acts as if I'm the worst thing that's ever happened to Crestwood...or him. But, get this, for some reason every time I turn around he's there, barging into my life.

What is the secret he is keeping from me? I'm hoping that it is anything but what I expect: that he is not exactly normal...and neither am I. So maybe Crestwood won't be the making of me, but it could be the breaking of me. I have been left to wonder if the dark future my dream is foretelling is...inescapable.

WOW. This was such a great start to this series by the very talented writer, Amy A. Bartol. From the first page, she hooks you into the story with her setting, her descriptions, and of course: her narrarator, Evie. This story was very captivating and I could barely stand the thought of putting this book down... trust me, my family knows first hand. Of all the books I have read ( which is a lot... I just haven't posted all of them yet) I think this book has the most movie potential.

Finale (Hush, Hush #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick

Finale (Hush, Hush #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick
 5 Stars

Will love conquer all?

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.

Although I wish I could say that there will be a 5th book in this series called Encore... there isn't; the story between Patch and Nora ends here. But the great news is that the book didn't totally fail... IT WAS AMAZING! This book didn't let the whole series down at all but might have actually added something a little extra to it. The "finale" in this series = 5 BILLION STARS. I will be looking forward to seeing if there will be any short stories coming out by Becca Fitzpatrick about Patch and Nora... if not, oh well. Thank you Becca for such a great finish to the series.
