The scent is sweet in the field though, not the scent of heat, like it had been when it was forced upon me in visions. I gaze down the hill, beyond the small, whitewashed house that I knew would be there. The church looms dark and grim with its rough-hewn, timber façade, capped by tall, oblong spires reaching to the sky. Black, ominous clouds have collected above the roofline, as if Heaven is showing me the way."

This book started of real slow and really poorly written. I wasn't drawn in right away like Amy's premiering books. It took me a while to get into it but once I got into it, I fell in love with it. It wasn't nearly as good as the others but it was good enough to keep me going on this series and I look forward to reading the next one!

I did like this book... but it took me a little time to get to the point where I felt that way. The beginning was pretty slow in my opinion and it took me a while to get connected with the main character, Araby. When I got through the stage of not really caring to much and not being hooked, I couldn't put it down and I ended up liking this book. The ending left me very shocked and I can't wait for the second one, The Dance of the Red Death, to come out on June 11th. I would say that you should at least try this one!

This book was so different from any other book I have ever read and I loved it. The vision Josephine Angelini painted was so beautiful and vivid. The story contained humor and extreme page-turning intensity. Helen was so charming and relatable which made you love her. Lucas was brooding and lovable which also made you love him. Well, you well actually fall in love with all the beautiful characters and everything about this book. I loved and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Totally recommended!

Well this book was freaking awesome. Actually, it was flawless! Every character in this book was so well developed as was the story which made for a book that I couldn't put down. At all. I have always had a fascination for the Jack the Ripper murders and this story just put everything into a different light for me and I loved it. I'm so looking forward to reading the 2nd one and then reading them again... and again... and again.

This story sounded very interesting to me when I read the caption, and in the beginning of the story I was drawn in... but that soon changed. The story qucikly got cofusing and a little too much for me. In my opinion, the characters weren't well developed because the personalities kept changing. In the end, I thought it was overall okay because it came together for a good ending. The ending left me actually left me wanting more, but sadly there will be no sequel.

OMG, this book was amazing. It was the first type of book in this genre that I have ever read and now I'm so addicted. I love Julia and here careful and sarcastic views of life. I also love Jason and his not so careful ways of life. The storyline was planned out perfectly, the characters were developed to the right personalities, and the setting was beautiful. I still can't get over how sweet this book was funny and how many LOL moments it had. This is on the lists that include shoving it in people's faces and buying it so I can read it over and over again. This book would be one of those classic chick-flicks if it was turned into a movie.... it better. READ IT... NOW!!!

Meghan has such a beautiful personality that people can relate to and fall in love with her. Ash, well, he continues to be the grogeuous, heart melting, Winter Prince that you grow accostomed to. And Puck with his sarcastic trickster talents that makes him up. And in this story, the all face a new enemy that you would least expect as an enemy. Such a wondeful addition that you should be required to read. Love it!
